The BRAVE Appeal
Dear Friends and Valued Supporters,
For 16 years, BRAVE for Veterans, Inc. has transformed data into action—advocating for policy change, supporting Veterans’ transitions to civilian life, and building a statewide network of student-powered research.
Our interns don’t just study service—they serve it. From testifying at the MA State House to advancing the Valor Act I, the HERO Act, and the Home Equity Theft ban, BRAVE students have helped shape laws, collaborate with Veterans’ organizations, and elevate the Commonwealth’s commitment to equity and care.
In 2025, we continue as appointed members of the Veterans Quality of Life Commission (VQOL) —helping drive solutions that impact over 255,000 Veterans across Massachusetts. Today, 25 student interns are signed up to be engaged in cutting-edge AI research, some bound for Ivy League graduate programs, all united in service of those who’ve served.
Your donation directly fuels their work—supporting research, outreach, and legislative innovation. As retired Pentagon Master Sergeant Stephen J. Canonico said:
"You’re not just trying to help Soldier for Life —you’re trying to help the Whole Force."
Help us lead with purpose. Help us continue the mission. Donate today.
With Gratitude,
Leroy Ashwood, Founder, President & CEO and The BRAVE Team
